Frequently asked questions
Is Junnusoft one continuous three-hour game?
No. Several different games and game modes are played during each game day. A single game usually lasts approximately 10-20 minutes, followed by a break of around 5-10 minutes.
My child is nine years old. Can they take part in Junnusoft?
Yes. Junnusoft is primarily intended for players aged approximately 10-14, but some players under the age of 10 and over the age of 14 also take part.
When necessary, a younger player’s readiness to participate can be assessed together with their parent or guardian and the Junnusoft instructor.
Can a parent, guardian or another close adult take part with the child?
Yes. A parent, guardian or another close adult accompanying the child may participate under the child’s participation fee without paying a separate fee.
Adults must play on the children’s terms and take the younger participants into consideration. Junnusoft is not intended for highly competitive or intensive adult play.
If an adult’s playing style is unsuitable for junior games, the instructor may intervene. When necessary, the player may be directed to Linnasoft’s open Saturday games instead.
What should I bring to my first game?
You should bring:
- Clothing suitable for outdoor activity and woodland terrain
- Sturdy footwear
- Gloves
- A water bottle
- Biodegradable airsoft BBs
- An airsoft gun and a suitable bag or case for transporting it
- A full-face mask, or strap-mounted safety goggles together with lower-face protection
- One red armband and one yellow armband
- An optional snack
An airsoft gun must never be carried visibly in a public place. It must be transported inside a closed bag or case.
Are rental equipment and the first game free?
Yes. A player attending Junnusoft for the first time can borrow a rental package from Atom Airsoft free of charge. The first game day is also free.
The rental package includes:
- An airsoft gun
- A transport bag for the gun
- A protective mask
- One red armband and one yellow armband
The equipment must be collected from the Atom Airsoft store during its opening hours. Airsoft BBs are not included and must be purchased separately.
Does the permission form need to be submitted every time?
No. A permission form completed and signed by the player’s parent or guardian only needs to be submitted to the instructor on the first game day.
Download the permission form
Should I bring something to eat?
Bringing food is not compulsory, but many players bring a sandwich, snack bar or another small snack. A longer break is usually held around halfway through the game day.
