The A&K PKM machine gun with polymer parts is the long-awaited machine gun replica on the airsoft market. The A&K PKM meets the expectations set for a machine gun with its replica built around a steel frame. The gun's central frame, carrying handle and box magazine are made of durable steel, which ensures a very sturdy structure for the gun. Other metal parts that are not under such high stress are made of zinc casting or aluminum. A&K manufactures two different versions of its PKM machine gun, which differ in the material of the handle and stock, between plastic and wood.
The A&K PKM is equipped with an adjustable rate of fire and a factory-installed MOSFET circuit, which is hidden inside the gas tube found under the outer barrel. The weapon's mechanism is built around a sturdy M249-style gear box, which has a quick spring change.
